UNDERSTOOD is a project that emerged from paper curiousity.
Consisting of several exploration in video, workshops, writing and crafts. The project aims to understand human interactions and the complexity thereof. What is lost in translation? What motivates creativity and chaos? What can be unveiled from the unspoken, untouched?

Coraline Experiment
Bartlett, London16th of December 2022
Two tall MDF-structures supported paper scrolls for visitors to draw a picture of Coraline’s bedroom. The two ‘booths’ was designed to welcome visitors into a ‘cosy’ or ‘clinical’ environment. Artifacts, rituals and ‘booth hosts’ were influencing visitor’s creative experience.
Host approaching visitor, clinical artifacts, cosy artifacts
Initially designed to adapt to the ventilation system for easy installation.
The structure ended up being reinforced and fixed to a concrete beam to better display drawings to visitors.
PEPPERONI PIZZA EXPERIMENT
Bartlett, London4th of November 2022
Asking my tutors, professors and colleagues to get on their knees and draw a picture of a pie and a pizza might sound silly. Eventually, it was a test of the swedish saying ‘Ju fler kockar desto sämre soppa’ [eng: the more chefs, the poorer the soup] and aimed to understand humans ability to adapt to instructions when creating.
1. pie two people, 2. pie many people, 3. pizza two people, 4. pizza many people
Two people group struggled to fill out the piece of paper (see picture 1 and 3) while many people group found it impossible to work together on, for example, drawing one table cloth (see picture 2 and 4).
STORY OF A DRESS
Judd St, London27th of October 2022
Stories of our favorite clothing items transcribed and weaved together. This project was presented as a composition of typewritten letters and the garments descriped. It explores intangible values of belongings as a compilation of narratives.
SOCRATES 2
Judd St, London26th of October 2022
Based on SOCRATES 1, this experiment aimed to measure drawing efficiency. Essentially an attempt to extract data from a one minute drawing exercise.
DO YOU SEE WHAT I FEEL?
Judd St, London20th of October 2022
Are emotions traceable in typewritten letters. After purchasing a typewriter, I quickly discovered how much attitude is transferred onto the paper, for example, if a letter is written with anger or impatience the ink will be splattered unto the letter making it very hard to read.
SOCRATES 1
Judd St, London13th of October 2022
Redrawing a picture of Socrates on three different sizes of paper in one minute. Based on the idea that the bigger the paper, the messier the outcome - and the richer the exploration.

UNHEALTHY PAPER HABITS
Endsleigh St, London6th of October 2022
Ever thought about why buying paper is so nice? It is incredibly easy to source and when romanticising an idea, everything seems possible. Maybe, the idea of what could be created, is the reason for me to buy paper all the time? When in reality, nothing is ever created. On this huge roll of paper I am trying to explore what I use paper for and why
